NETWORK PROJECT

INTERNATIONAL WEB SHARING

Students and teachers of some schools from two different countries (Italy, Nederland) are getting in contact, to exchange experiences, information and to develop and understanding of each other.

Expanding individual students’ & teachers' horizons is the basis for developing and understanding of their active role as a European citizen. Supporting this process can also be a worthwhile experience for participating teachers, and their continued professional development.

Teching subjects

Didactics:

·    Italian – history – geography – mathematics – sciences – physical education – musical education – art education – technical education – religion – education to public spirit.

·    Two foreign languages: English for everyone and one foreign language of the European Union: for instance French, Spanish etc.

Contents & methods

·    Contents: the subject-matters are established by the governing body of each school following the general directions about the educational action decided by the Ministry of Education.

·    Methods: classes, active methodology, individual or in a group.

AIMS
Sharing the experiences of the Bracciano-Hoogeveen successful exchanges for young students and putting into contact Italian and Dutch schools to start new exchanges.

The two teachers in charge of the Dutch-Italian Students’ Exchange.

PARTICIPANTS
Principals, teachers, students, parents  involved in the four year exchange. The principal and 1-2 teachers from the Dutch and Italian schools taking part in the project.

LANGUAGE OF COMMUNICATION
English.

SUBJECT
Experiences of the 2004-2007 exchanges. Evaluation. School systems in Holland and in Italy. Profiles of the participating schools.

METHOD
Conference 11 October 2007 with workshops.
In the school year 2007-2008 start a network.

PLACES
Hoogeveen (Holland) and Bracciano (Italy)

LENGHTH: one school year, starting 11 October 2007, ending  1 June 2008.

Number of meetings:  a conference and 3 meetings for the network.
